With Server 2003 we could connect to a NetApp from Server Manager, but as we migrated servers to 2008 R2 or newer we noticed if you tried connecting to the NetApp through Server Manager it would give an error; however, if you open Computer Management instead of Server Manager, you can connect to the NetApp and browse open connections.
