CoNetrix, the leading information security and technology solutions provider for financial institutions, announces the expansion of its Tandem Risk Assessment to include Information Asset Risk Assessments. As part of the Tandem Security and Compliance online software suite, the Information Asset Risk Assessment portion provides templates to assist in quantifying the likelihood and potential damage of threats to various individual assets belonging to financial institutions.
The Tandem Risk Assessment includes two components: Information Security Risk Assessment and Information Asset Risk Assessments. The Information Security Risk Assessment is threat-based and includes a step-by-step process with a questionnaire designed to provide recommended risk levels for more than 60 pre-defined threats to financial institutions. The Information Security Risk Assessment was developed to help banks and credit unions complete their annually required Information Security Risk Assessments per GLBA.
The new Information Asset Risk Assessment offers the ability to manage information assesses and conduct specific risk assessments against these assets. The software module offers asset specific risk assessment types (which act as templates for different assets); data type management to manage data classification and document which assets house various data types; and a threat management component to manage controls, compliance, impact, and guidance associated with identified threats.
CoNetrix security professionals have designed Tandem software using guidance from the FFIEC, FDIC, OCC, Federal Reserve, NCUA, and CFPB. The web-based risk assessment software follows a multi-step process with downloadable documents in Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF formats.
