Tandem is an online-based web application, designed to help financial institutions simplify and stay in compliance with complex information security regulations. The first Tandem product was released in 2008. Since that time, Tandem has grown into an 11-product suite and is used by more than 1,300 financial institutions in all 50 states.

About the Position

We take pride in the fact Tandem is developed and supported in-house.

As part of the Tandem team, a UI/UX Designer will work closely with the development and support teams to  advance our goal of making information security compliance easier for financial institutions. This includes being involved in every step of the product enhancement process, from analyzing requirements to testing and refining the finished product.

At its heart, this position is about improving the Tandem experience for our customers and team members. So, if you have a history in UI/UX design, a passion for problem solving, and excellent communication skills, this position would provide you with an opportunity to apply and enrich your skills as you engage with our team.

Tasks & Responsibilities

Here are some examples of what you could expect to do as part of this position:

  • Analyze user requests and craft proposed solutions.
  • Develop UI mockups and prototypes.
  • Communicate scenarios, end-to-end experiences, interaction models, and screen designs with other members of the team.
  • Design standardized UI elements like menus, tabs, buttons, and forms.
  • Identify and troubleshoot UX problems.
  • Create original graphic designs.
