Tia Clary named CFO for CoNetrix, LLC

Lubbock, Texas - CoNetrix, LLC announced Tia Clary has been named as Chief Financial Officer for CoNetrix. The announcement came October 18, 2016 during a Management Team meeting. Clary has been with CoNetrix since February 2014, when she began working as Controller.

A later announcement to CoNetrix employees stated: “In the time that Tia has been with CoNetrix, she has been instrumental in making numerous strategic improvements in our accounting and financial procedures. This includes trimming our chart of accounts by 75%, completing the software conversion from Classic to ActivityHD™, and providing enhanced financial tracking and analysis for companies and departments. She has also negotiated new agreements and expanded our employee benefit plans. Tia is always searching for better and more efficient procedures, and is a great asset to our company. We congratulate her for all her past and future successes.”

Clary, a Certified Public Accountant, came to CoNetrix from Lubbock Christian University (LCU) where she was Vice President of Financial Affairs. Her career at LCU spanned 17 years. In 1997 she began work as Assistant Director of Financial Assistance. Clary’s career advanced as she was promoted to Director of Financial Assistance, Controller of LCU, Assistant Vice President and subsequently Vice President of Financial Affairs.

CoNetrix Commences 6th Annual K.E.Y.S. Conference

KEYS ConferenceMore than 150 auditors, bankers, examiners, and credit union professionals gathered in Allen, Texas for the 6th annual CoNetrix K.E.Y.S. Conference, formerly known as the tandem User Group and Information Security Conference. Designed to provide Knowledge Essential to Your Security, the April 2016 event attracted attendees from financial institutions across the United States.

The annual CoNetrix K.E.Y.S. Conference provides a gathering place for users of CoNetrix tandem Information Security Software, and offers an educational forum on information security and technology. Attendees were able to engage in sessions covering a variety of hot topics, including ransomware and cybersecurity. They also had the opportunity to receive direct assistance from CoNetrix tandem experts and Information Security Consultants.

Featured keynote sessions included: an update on cybercrime by Former Secret Service Agent Steven Bullitt, VP Cyber Forensics and Investigations for Solutionary; an encouraging session about culture from Scott Lee Rose of Alliance Federal Credit Union; and a conversation with examiners, featuring an elite panel of five examiners from the FDIC, OCC, Federal Reserve, NCUA, and Texas Department of Banking.

Workshop time provided a place for tandem Software users to further develop their information security programs, ask questions about the tools, and give valuable feedback for enhancing the software. For conference entertainment, attendees enjoyed a night at Topgolf Allen on the evening of April 6th. CoNetrix Launches New Tandem Phishing Simulation Module

CoNetrix is excited to announce the release of tandem Phishing, a new online module to provide social engineering tests and training in the form of simulated phishing emails.

Launched on January 19, 2016, tandem Phishing allows users to draft and send phishing email messages through a campaign manager with built-in templates created by the CoNetrix Security & Compliance Team.  In addition, users can create their own message templates or landing pages and use them in custom campaigns.  tandem Phishing also allows users to manage multiple phishing campaigns at once, run reports, and download documents in Word, Excel, or PDF formats.

“Simulated phishing email testing is an effective way to educate employees on how to spot phony emails,” said CoNetrix president, Russ Horn.  “Our hope is the tandem Phishing module will allow banks, credit unions, and other security conscious companies an affordable way to provide simulated testing and training for their employees on a more frequent basis.”

CoNetrix Launches New Tandem Audit Management Pro

CoNetrix is excited to announce the release of tandem Audit Management Pro, an expanded version of tandem Audit Management Standard that was launched on December 17, 2013.

tandem Audit Standard is a management tool providing institutions with the ability to enter, track, and respond to any type of audit or exam.  tandem Audit Pro expands the audit manager tool's features and gives institutions the ability to create workprograms and conduct audits.

CoNetrix is excited to announce the release of tandem Cybersecurity Assessment, a new online tool that streamlines the process for financial institutions completing the FFIEC’s cybersecurity self-assessment.

In June, the FFIEC released a Cybersecurity Assessment Tool to help financial institutions identify their risks and assess their cybersecurity preparedness. The assessment tool is designed to provide a repeatable and measurable process for banks and credit unions to measure their cybersecurity preparedness over time.

The tandem Cybersecurity Assessment Tool provides a quick, easy, electronic way to complete the FFIEC cybersecurity self-assessment. Users log in to tandem and complete a questionnaire to generate their institution’s inherent risk profile and maturity level. Results live in tandem for tracking and reporting on a regular basis.

“We have been anticipating the release of new guidance on cybersecurity,” said Russ Horn, President for CoNetrix. “Our goal in developing the online tool was to help eliminate some of the guesswork and assist in creating an efficient and usable work process.”

The tandem Cybersecurity Assessment tool is launching in phases and will be available as a free or professional version. Some of the key features provided by the tool will include graphical representations of the data, analysis reports including gap analysis, ability to compare results with similar financial institutions, downloads and reports including a board of directors report template, and a plan of action template to improve maturity levels when applicable.
